The Downtown Dalton Summer Music Series is back and this year will be “Off the Rails!” Tons of talent will grace the stage at Burr Park for this year’s FREE concerts, like local favorites Blackbird Revival and the Dead Trees as well as some new faces like Arcadian Wild and Bluetastic Fangrass. There will be thirteen concerts in all, which will begin on June 8th and fire up every Friday night at 7:30 PM all summer long until August 31st. If you have never attended one of the FREE concerts before, you should definitely make plans to do so this year. Nothing screams summer like Live Music in the park!  

A lot of musical talent is coming out of this area and with live music nearly every night of the week, Downtown Dalton has become the hottest spot in North West Georgia to hang-out and Rock-On! “The music scene in Downtown Dalton is on fire right now.” Said Kristi Watson, the Main Street Manager for the Downtown Dalton Development Authority. “You can hear live music nearly every night at several venues throughout the downtown area.” With the opening of the new Burr Park, which is equipped with a beautiful, large stage, the live music scene in Dalton will get hotter and hotter! 

The Downtown Dalton Summer Music Series is in its third year and as a series it has evolved into something bigger and better each year. “The Summer Music Series is a popular event the city puts on.” Said Anthony Luke, Marketing Manager for the Dalton Visitors Bureau. “We have watched it grow and blossom into this amazing event and we are super excited for this year’s concerts. It’s gonna be a blast for everyone.” The Series will feature a wide variety of musical genres; from Blues and Southern Rock to Folk, Country and Reggae, so there will be something for everyone. If you plan to come to Dalton from out of town during one of our Friday night concerts, we have good news. The Downtown Dalton Trolley, sponsored by the Dalton Visitors Bureau, runs from all of the area hotels to Downtown Dalton Thursday through Saturday, 5 PM until 11 PM. The trolley is completely free. You can get a room, hop on the trolley, grab some dinner downtown, then head over to Burr Park for one of the FREE concerts. It is literally a stress free mini-vacation.

Downtown Dalton is becoming a destination. With its eclectic shops, fine dining, Breweries, Distillery, live music, taverns and bars; Dalton has something for everyone. So head over to Dalton, Georgia because there is so much happening this summer it will FLOOR you!
