After a long and very hot summer, we can all relax because this Saturday is the official first day of fall 2018. It’s time to trade in your flip flops and sandals for cozy boots and light jackets. Yep, the weather looks like it’s going to cool down over the next few weeks and that means more and more people will be getting out to enjoy the amazing cool temperatures. It also means that it’s Fall Festival time, and Dalton has some of the best Festivals in Northwest Georgia that we know you will fall for. Check out some of these Fall events below.

Downtown Dalton Fall Pub Crawl – The Downtown Dalton Fall Pub Crawl may only be in its second year but it has become widely known as one of the best events Dalton puts on each year. This year will mark the second annual Fall Pub Crawl with proceeds going to support Autism research through the Northwest Georgia Health Partnership Special Needs Services. Wristbands for the event are $10 per person and can be purchased at any of the participating locations. Each Participating location will offer live music, drink and food specials for the duration of the event. What makes this event even more special is that you can purchase a drink at one participating location and walk down the street drinking it on your way to the next location. That’s right, Downtown Dalton has an open container policy that allows individuals to enjoy an adult beverage outside so long as it is in a clear plastic container.

Several local Downtown Dalton establishments will be participating in this years Fall Crawl, including; Baja Coop, Buckin Burrito, Cherokee Brewing & Pizza Company, Dalton Brewing Company, Hamilton’s Food and Spirits Pizzeria and Planet of the Grapes Wine Bar. The Downtown Dalton Fall Pub Crawl takes place this Saturday, September 22nd from 5-11PM. The Dalton Convention & Visitors Bureau will also have a FREE trolley available to take you to and from the participating venues. If you are visiting Dalton this weekend the Downtown Dalton Trolley will pick you up and bring you back to your hotel that evening.

Downtown Dalton Brewers Festival – Formally known as the Downtown Dalton Brew Fest, the New Downtown Dalton Brewers Festival is in its 1oth year and will be bigger and better than ever before. Several craft beer brewers from the region will set up shop at Burr Park and give out samples of their unique brews. Dalton’s very own, Dalton Brewing Company will also be represented. This years Brewers Festival takes place in Downtown Dalton’s newest attraction, Burr Performing Arts Park, centrally located at 101 S. Hamilton Street, Dalton, GA 30270. The Downtown Dalton Brewers Festival takes place on November 10th from 4-8PM. Details for the Festival are still being worked out and we hope to have more information before the event. Who knows, we’ll probably devote a whole blog post for the Brewers Fest come November.
