Downtown Visitor Center

This historic freight depot is the home of the Downtown Dalton Visitor Center.

The historic freight depot in the heart of Downtown Dalton is the home of the local visitor center. We are here to welcome you to our city and help you find whatever you’re looking for (maybe a few things you didn’t expect). Learn more about Dalton’s textile history in the Bandy Heritage Center exhibit, detailing the original quilt tufting process that produced the beautiful chenille bedspreads that gave us the name Peacock Alley.

Ask about what’s going on while you’re here and be sure to pick up a local restaurant guide. We’re always here to help! Stop by 305 South Depot Street or call (706) 270-9960.
