The Creative Arts Guild will host FESTIVAL 2020, September 18th, 19th and 20th. FESTIVAL 2020 includes: A Preview Party on September 18th. Indoor Patron Exhibit – a juried exhibit that spans the entirety of the Creative Art Guild’s three galleries: Gallery Five20, Gallery One11, and Jonas Hall and is open to artists over the age of 18 working in all mediums. This work will remain up through October! Outdoor Artist Market – featuring regional artists with booths full of artistic creations and treasures. Live Music – performed by regional bands all day with new music every hour on the hour. Kids’ activities and performances in our new multicultural Children’s Hill area – highlighting various countries – each with arts projects and activities that reflect the countries’ culture. Kids will receive a passport before they travel from booth to booth (or country to country) and once they complete the activities at each tent, they will get a stamp in their passport commemorating their visit to that country. Children’s Hill also will house a Children’s Art Market – just for kids – no parents or adults allowed – allowing kids to select an art piece that speaks to them in some way – planting a seed for a lifetime of arts appreciation as well as a collaborative arts project, a reading and multi-cultural storytime booth supported by Dalton-Whitfield County Library, games, and RTW Sculpture Garden scavenger hunt and a booth supported by Home Depot where kids can create a seedling starter. Self-guided tours of the Robert T. Webb Sculpture Garden. Unique food trucks and vendors throughout the weekend. For more information, visit www.creativeartsguild.org.
