A local favorite, Red Clay Resort (originally Farmer’s Lake) is a clear, blue spring where families can get out of the heat and swim in clean, freshwater. Spring-fed, the temperature never gets higher than 60 degrees and remains one of the most refreshing spots in north Georgia. The owners recognize that the lake was special to the Cherokee and Cherokee visitors swim for free.
