Bandy Heritage Center Museum
Biography
The Bandy Heritage Center for Northwest Georgia is a community outreach program of Dalton State College. The Bandy Heritage Center celebrates the history and culture of Northwest Georgia. This mission is achieved through collaboration with partenering historical and cultural organizations throughout the area, enabling the Bandy Center to fulfill its role as the primary source for information related to the region’s historic resources.
Established in 2008 through the generosity of Mr. Jack Bandy, the Center is currently in the formative stages and is devoting its energies to public outreach programming. The Bandy Center, located on the second floor of the Derrell C. Roberts Library, includes archival and artifact collections and exhibits concentrating of the Northwest Georgia area.
The Center is working to promote an understanding of the past as a means of educating our community about the present as a way of imagining our common future.
The Museum is located Downtown Dalton, in the old Freight Depot building.
