The Dalton Convention & Visitors Bureau is excited about the Holiday Season. There’s so many Christmas Events going on in Dalton it will make you “Jingle All the Way!”
The annual Downtown Dalton Christmas Parade, brought to you by the Noon Lions Club, is happening this Thursday evening. The parade starts at 6pm on Waugh Street near the Fire Station. The parade route moves down Waugh and then takes a right onto Hamilton Street. The Parade will go through downtown, and conclude somewhere near Morris Street. There will be floats, candy, and I hear Mr. Saint Nick will make an appearance. So, bring the whole family downtown, and enjoy this great celebration of the Holidays.
On Saturday, December 9th, the Dalton Convention Center will host a great local shopping event called the Home For the Holidays Expo. The Expo opens at 10am on Saturday, and there will be over 65 vendors to shop from. Admission is only $1 and those proceeds go to help the Boys & Girls Club. Santa Claus will be in attendance, and will be taking pictures with all the children. This is a great opportunity to support local businesses during this time of year.
Santa loves all of our four legged family members as well, and will be taking pictures with them at the Dalton Distillery on Saturday December 9th from 11am until 1pm. Pictures are free, but donations will be collected for the Project Hope Community Outreach for Whitfield County and the surrounding counties. So bring your pets down to the Dalton Distillery, located at 109 East Morris Street in Downtown, have their picture taken with Old Saint Nick, and help out a great charity.
