Long before Juneteenth became a federal holiday, it was widely celebrated throughout the country. Since 1866, African Americans have spent this day reflecting on where we’ve been and celebrating where we are going. Some of our favorite Juneteenth traditions are centered around food. BBQ. Red Velvet Cake. Strawberry Soda. Watermelon. Soul Food. In that tradition, we will celebrate together with BBQ sliders and strawberry soda. This is a free event, so come out and chill with us under the pavilion as we celebrate our culture and our freedom!!
