After much consideration, the Off The Rails Summer Entertainment Series will be returning to the stage at Burr Park in June. The planning board (made up of the Dalton Convention & Visitors Bureau, Downtown Dalton Development Authority, Creative Arts Guild and Community Foundation) are moving forward with organizing the 2021 series to include weekly concerts, festivals, and live performances like Shakespeare in The Park.
The 2020 series was cancelled at the advisement of health and safety guidelines during the initial outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the introduction of the vaccine, lower infection rates and improved social distancing protocols, the 2021 series is in a position to move forward safely.
Currently, the series is scheduled to return in June with the entertainment schedule to be determined. Off The Rails will feature free, live entertainment every Friday at the Burr Park Stage in Downtown Dalton and every 3rd Friday in the fall.
The Off the Rails Entertainment Series is held at Burr Performing Arts Park (101 S Hamilton St, Dalton, GA 30720) in the heart of Downtown Dalton. Enjoy dinner and drinks at the many local restaurants Downtown within walking distance before the show starts.
There is plenty of street parking throughout the area including public parking decks next to Burr Park and Across from the Whitfield County Courthouse (205 N Selvidge St, Dalton, GA 30720 – next to the BB&T now Truist Banking Branch.
On behalf of the organizing committee, we would like to thank the following sponsors for their support in bringing Off the Rails to Dalton:
