Still a local favorite, Farmer’s Lake is a clear, blue spring where families can get out of the heat and swim in clean, fresh water. Spring-fed, the temperature never gets higher than 60 degrees and remains one of the most refreshing spots in north Georgia. Cherokee Indians long ago believed that the water had healing powers. The owners recognize that the lake was special to the Cherokee and Cherokee visitors swim for free.
