Last year around this time, several new restaurants opened up in Downtown Dalton, bringing more nightlife to the Dalton area. They are; Cherokee Brewing and Pizza Company, Crescent City Tavern, and Conductors Bar and Grill. These three usually have live music and other events going on every weekend, and throughout the week. They are a great addition to our already booming downtown. It’s great to be a Daltonian right now.

These three restaurants and a few others downtown have gotten together to put on a one night event called the Dalton Fall Crawl, a Pub Crawl which will take you through several of the restaurants, Bars, and taverns downtown.

I spoke with Barry Johann, AKA Barry J. Brown of Blackbird Revival, and coordinator of the Dalton Fall Crawl about the event, and he gave me some great information.

A: So, which Downtown businesses will be participating in the Dalton Fall Crawl?

B: We have a great line up of restaurants and taverns that are participating. Cherokee Brewing and Pizza Company, Crescent City Tavern, Conductors Bar and Grill, Hamilton’s Food and Spirits, and the new Baja Coop.

A: What kinds of deals will the participating businesses be offering?

B: Each business will offer different kinds of deals for those participating in the Dalton Fall Crawl. For instance, Cherokee Brewing and Pizza Company will have $3 Pints on House Brews, and Hamilton’s Food and Spirits will have discounts on both food and beer, like $4.50 for a slice of pizza and domestic beer. However, each businesses Facebook page should have that information on it. So check it out.

A: How does one get to participate in the Dalton Fall Crawl?

B: You can purchase wristbands for the event at any participating business. The wristbands are $5 per person, and help benefit the North Georgia Healthcare Partnership 2018 Summer Autism Series.

A: That’s the same group that is putting on the 3rd Annual North Georgia Autism Conference at the Dalton Convention Center today, right?

B: Yep, it is. You can find out more about the kinds of things they do by visiting their website at

http://www.nghp.org/portfolio-item/autism/

A: What kinds of other activities will the Dalton Fall Crawl have going on?

B: Each location will have different activities going on, but most will have live music and games like corn hole. So check each businesses Facebook page for which bands will be playing there.

A: What time does the Dalton Fall Crawl Start?

B: It starts at 4pm on Saturday October 21st, and lasts until 10pm.

A: Anything else you would like to say about the Dalton Fall Crawl?

B: Yeah, just that we are very excited about this neat event. We hope that a lot of people come downtown and take advantage of all the cool deals going on. A lot of people usually come downtown on Saturday nights, so they might as well get a wristband and save some money, all while helping a great cause.

There you have it. The First ever Dalton Fall Crawl is set to be an exciting event, which will benefit The North Georgia Health Care Partnership 2018 Summer Autism Series. For your convenience, I’ve taken it upon myself to add the Facebook and website links to ALL the participating Dalton Fall Crawl businesses. While you’re on the business Facebook page go ahead and give the page a “LIKE.” I know they will appreciate it.  Also, Like Barry said, you can purchase your wristbands for $5 at any of the businesses listed below.

If you make it out tomorrow night, and spot me and my wife downtown taking pictures of the event, don’t hesitate to come up and say hello! I’ll be wearing my Dalton CVB name badge. See you there!
